Rawalpindi: ISPR says The Pakistan Army will provide security for the July 25 Azad Kashmir elections.

According to the Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR), the Pakistan Army will provide security for the July 25 elections in Azad Kashmir. The Election Commission of Azad Kashmir has called on the Pakistan Army to provide security and a peaceful environment.

According to the spokesperson of the Pakistan Army, the deployment will be made under the Quick Reaction Force of the Pakistan Army from July 22 to 26. This deployment has been made under Article 245 of the Constitution. Enforcement and paramilitary personnel, including Rangers and FC personnel, will also be on duty.

According to ISPR, the purpose of these arrangements is to conduct the elections in an uninterrupted and peaceful manner. According to sources, the Pakistan Army will have nothing to do with polling stations, polling process or delivery of election materials.
